5 Enticing things about the new Interview with The Vampire TV series!
At Comic-Con 2022 I attended the Interview with the Vampire panel for Vampyre Magazine. It featured the cast, writers, and producers. This new spin embraces Anne Rice’s source material. We got treated to a few-minute clip and the official season on the trailer. Here are the 5 most enticing things I took away.
The Chemistry between Lestat (Sam Reid) and Louis (Jacob Anderson), is what makes the show. As these are Byronic characters with a homoerotic romance.
Storyville District (1895-1917) is an intriguing setting to experience New Orleans that has not been explored like this before on the screen since 1970s.
Lestat is a genius sociopath giving me rockstar Hannibal vibes.
Lestat speaks French reflecting his past which adds depth to his character.
Louis keeps his most important notable characteristic: his conflicted faith.
I am grateful for this experience and look forward to seeing and experiencing more from this new show!
Eternally,
Father Sebastiaan
PS - maybe someday I will be finally able to make fangs for the Vampire Lestat! lol
From a Sabretooth in Milan's Quarantine Zone
As the world grips with the Corona Virus, Italy is hit really hard. One of my dearest Sabretooths Arianna is an event producer, got her Sabretooth fangs in 2012 and Endless Night Muse. She recently became a police officer and when checking on her gave me this letter. She has given permission for me to share with you and our hearts go out to our sorors and fraters in Italy.
Eternally,
Father Sebastiaan

Hello my dear,
Thank you for your message. We are surviving. Me and my parents and my friends are all ok and healthy or apparently so it seems: Covid19 is often asymptomatic and we are starting to test only people that have severe symptoms. This is the reason why it’s so dangerous, most of the times we are unconsciously killing weak people like our parents or grandparents and must stay home! We in Italy have been quarantined for weeks now and cases are more than 20.000 but I am sure other countries will find out more because of their late response. But you know... governments have been hiding truths forever... it’s always a matter of priorities and some countries do not care about their people or humans in general. We are being careful and trying to feel united.
Everyday at 6 pm Italians open their windows or go out on their balconies and sing the national anthem, popular Italian songs or just light a torch and say hello to each others making some noise. Children are home since the end of February, because schools and universities were the first to close. They are painting rainbows and writing “Everything will be OK” and hanging the results from their windows along with the Italian flag. Saturday at 12 pm every Italian opened their windows just to give a long heart-touching clap for all the nurses and doctors struggling in hospitals with crazy and dangerous shifts: they will surely go through PSTD once this is over. It’s a war.

How did I coin the term Black Swan?
In 1997 I coined a term called Black Swan for my partner Lucianna at the time. She wanted to participate in the vampire world but didn’t identify as a full Vampire. So I came up with the term which was originally “My Swan” out to respect for her instead of calling her a ghoul or familiar. So here is the Black Veil as presented in the book Black Veils: The Vampire Lexicon.
Black Swans
Within the Veils, “Black Swans” are non-Vampire individuals who are intimately knowledgeable about the Black Veils and are friendly allies to their vampire friends. They are often involved in the Vampire subculture and associated with a Vampire, and can be friends, donors, dayside family members, lovers, or even potential Vampires yet to be awakened. The term Black Swan was coined at the New York City (Gotham Halo) Vampire nightclub Long Black Veil in 1997, for those who would bring their friends, parents, siblings, and lovers to the club.
One misconception within the Vampire World is that all Black Swans are donors. This is certainly very common, but it is not always the case. Many are even lifestyle Vampires who wear fangs, dress up, and know a great deal about the Vampire culture, philosophy, and traditions.. Often Black Swans are practicing the dayside elements of the Vampire lifestyle known as “lifestylers.”
In contrast to Black Swans are “White Swans’ who are against the Vampire lifestyle to varying degrees ranging from very hostile to just annoying. These individuals can range from a girlfriend, friend, sibling or parent who strongly mocks or dislikes the Vampire lifestyle. They often will say things like, ìWhy are you wearing fangs?î or ìYou are really only living in a fantasy world, so stop it.î
Black Swans are to be treasured by Vampires and are strong allies. Treat them well and with respect, they are not pets but individuals with open minds and often resonate strongly with the Current and Vampire World. Even though the term originated at Long Black Veil it has become used by the Vampire Community throughout the world.
I am a Chaos Magician and what does that mean?
I am a Vampire and proud chaos magician, here is the Black Veil from my forthcoming book BLACK VEILS MASTER VAMPYRE EDITION due out September 1st 2020.
Black Veil of Chaos Magick:
By nature many Black Veiled Vampires are Chaos Magickians, following the maxim stated by Peter J. Carroll, one of the founding fathers of Chaos Magick: “belief is a tool.” In effect, the Chaos Magickian sees belief as an active form of energy that can be manipulated by agreement and will, as in Vampire Sorcery. Since Black Veil Vampires, through Zhep’r / Xepher, begin to focus on tangible results first, belief and faith become tools instead of than points of reality.
Therefore, advanced Vampires can work through the foundations of Chaos Magick, combined with practice, skill and discipline, to begin to use these techniques for dream walking and shaping their own reality around them in accordance with their will. Additionally, Chaos Magick can easily be used to facilitate “pop culture magick”, dealing with thought-forms such as manipulating egregores and belief flows in our common cultural consciousness. Many elements of Chaos Magick include sex, satire, artwork, Taosim, Discordianism, Tantra, sigil work, and work with the Greek Goddess of chaos, Eris. The main orders that focus on the study of Chaos Magick are Illuminates of Thanateros (IOT), and singer Genesis P-Orridge’s Thee Temple ov Psychick Youth (TOPY).
The accepted symbol of Chaos Magick is the eight-pointed star or “Banner of Chaos” from the fantasy novels of British writer Michael Moorcock. The most notable feature of Chaos Magick is the ability to “paradigm shift,” which is the magician’s ability to shift belief systems and interact with a variety of magical, spiritual, and philosophical. Chaos Magickians also utilize spontaneously created deities, rituals, and practices; this is the same process that gave birth to the Pulses and the Current.
One of original Black Veils: The Bloodbath Liquor
The Bloodbath is a cocktail that is the staple of the Vampire Culture around the world, with reports of it being made in South America, Siberia, Japan, and Australia. The Bloodbath is an original Black Veil, but few know it’s true history. It was created by Alchemistress Ambrosia of the Sabretooth Clan as the staple drink of the Legendary Vampire Club “Long Black Veil” in Gotham Halo (NYC) and Endless Night Vampire Ball events.
This drink was such a favorite of many of the Black Veiled Vampires and guests of LBV over the years that they would empty bar stocks in one evening. Many Black Veil Vampires recall the old days at LBV with dozens of Victorian and leather clad Gents and Witches standing around slowly sipping from wine glasses of Bloodbaths them in the Versailles room of MOTHER.
The Bloodbath is traditionally made with 1/3 chambord liquor, 1/3 cranberry juice and 1/3 red wine (preferably Cabernet), then put on ice, shaken like a Martini, and served in a chilled wine glass. There have been many variations, such as the New Orleans Bloodbath, which uses a hint of rum, or other versions which add grenadine, spices, or to share a Bloodbath with another Vampire is a great pleasure, especially while at a Vampire Ball, meetup, haven, or moot.
